hi
me n my husband are in trust deed. my husband is due to receive tax return, and was just contacted by hmrc to say it will be done next week, through trust deed. can they take all the money? we planned to pay MOT with that money...
p.s. i wish we had done it, they were saying so many advantages of TD but never any disadvantages..

This is a tax refund that you were hoping to receive?
I'm afraid that may well be seen as a windfall that is due to your trust deeds. Your trustee will be able to advise you on that.
I do agree with you that it's very important that people understand the pros and cons before choosing how to tackle their debts.
