Just imagine if the AiB had issued clear guidance on this subject. Would have probably negated the need for all these costly court cases.

All the banks' fault, though.

I was trying to put this in writing, but amended my post about the banks responsibility in this mess as others would possibly say, if u didn't find yourselves in financial difficulty u wouldn't have a problem in reclaiming PPI, there are many reasons as to why people find themselves in these situations and maybe we shouldn't be so quick to judge ? So fingers crossed, it will all be over soon tinsoldier

Hi everyone good news today my trustees have given me back my money, so happy times tonight. It feels like a lifetime since they kept the money but they have at last done the decent thing. Hopefully it will not be to long before everyone gets theirs back. The other good thing is that I won't be having my trust opened up again. That's the best part of this whole sorry mess. Good luck everyone and thanks again to everyone on this forum I couldn't have done this without all the advice and support from you all...#128512;#128512;

Hi gleith I didn't change their mind apparently the partners and their lawyers have been discussing the issue and maybe they are also like myself have had enough of waiting for Mr Mond to go to the supreme court. That is only my feeling but I might be wrong, at the end of the day they have had my check for 10 months and I am pleased that I have got it back and it has came at a good time for myself.

My trustees was Begbie and Traynor so maybe if you tell them that they might see about giving you yours back. I do know by being on this forum that there are other people with them and I think that some even went to court and got stays. I wonder if they know something that we don't know, who knows! It's always worth a try because to be truthful I was just giving them until next week and then I was going to go down the court route. I may still sue the bank of Scotland for sending my check to them in the first place when it was obvious that I had been out of my trust for 8 years. I hope that you get your money soon as a lot of trustees seem to be caving in. Good luck

Hi gleith, as I said in a previous post I think that it is ridiculous that one man is holding up the rest of the judicial system, some may not agree with my interpretation of what is happening but your trustees should have to make up their mind soon. Mr Mond should be made to do this soon, what happens if he doesn't decide to appeal until next year, what happens if he never appeals!! where does it leave people like yourself, you are left in limbo waiting and waiting. I think that you should go back to your trustees and tell them that my trustees have now started to return checks and ask how long are they going to hold onto your money. I personally did not expect my trustees to give me back my check, I thought that I would have to go to court with them so with them giving me back my money I was very surprised. Good luck with your case and I will keep looking at the forum and hopefully I will be reading about you getting your money soon.

I'm sure Mr Mond will try and appeal to Supreme court as it's in his interests after going so far
