Not me.

Maybe that hasn't been determined as yet?

It's probably a long shot Gleith - but have you thought about contacting the Supreme Court directly?

You could ask how long a person or company has to submit an appeal to the Supreme court.

You could also make a Freedom of Information request.

You could ask if an appeal has been submitted by David Mond against the judgement by the Court of Session in the case of (get the full title, and maybe even the link, from the earlier threads on here, or from the Court of Session site).

You might not get any real information, but it might be worth a try?

You could also let your TD company know that you're in contact with the Supreme Court on this matter, and ask then TD company to confirm their position - which seems to be that they are continuing with court action against you on the basis that Mond has been given the right to appeal.

Ask them for a copy of the documents which confirm that Mond will/can appeal.

You might not get any answers from them either. But if you do end up back in court, you can tell the Sheriff that you asked for these things, but your TD company didn't provide them [:(]

I can't guarantee that you'll get any answers Gleith. But you've got every right to try those things if you feel up to it.

Good luck mate!

Update on this topic:

https://www.trust-deed.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?whichpage=1&TOPIC_ID=6618#46000

According to a Court there is no certainty yet whether or not this matter might yet be heard before the Supreme Court.

Can't see why a PPI payment would affect your tax code, as any payments received are tax free? As 2 your earlier question, I haven't heard anything as yet, once I do, I will post on here

We've heard nothing - will always post here if/when we do.

My understanding is that the actual PPI compensation isn't taxed, but any payment element of interest (on top of the reimbursement of the actual premiums paid for the PPI policy) is taxable.

I believe any interest on PPI claims is taxable. Some banks deduct at source

That's my understanding also HighFive.

Some banks might deduct tax at source, but some higher rate taxpayers might still have an additional tax liability on top of what has already been deducted.

Received a letter today which states " the legal ruling means that if you were to receive an unexpected financial windfall such as PPI compensation, after you and your trustee have been discharged , then that money it rightfully yours and the Scottish Courts have now confirmed this to be the case."
