Its been almost 3 years since my Trust deed was finished, and I thought it was all a distant memory.

Today I got a letter from PCO Holdco 'for information purposes only'.

It states on it that I still have an outstanding balance of ยฃ5k on a Barclaycard.

Should this debt not have been written off by now, and should I do anything about this letter, or just ignore it?

I am now considering rebuilding my credit, which may be a problem if there are still debts against my name that should be gone.

Hi amorphous.

If this was a regular unsecured debt that existed when your trust deed started, it has been effectively written off. Whatever a company writes, it doesn't exist.

You could ignore the letter, or you could contact the firm to require them to update their records.

If you're concerned about credit reporting, the first step will be to obtain credit reports to see what, if anything, is being reported.
