hi TDA.

thanks, seems that's the best option, my worry is the sale falling through if i say, yes that was me, if i say nope that wasn't me, is there further checks to establish whether these were my details?

Hi Jamie24.

If you provided false information you'd leave yourself open to accusations of mortgage fraud.

How long have you been discharged? And your trustee?

Your details will have come up in a search but there is nothing to worry about.

Hi Jamie,

I’d always advise honesty is the best policy.

You could say that it wasn’t you but then the Solicitor could investigate further and this could lead to a little nervousness on their part as to what else you might not be telling them.

If you have completed your Trust Deed and received your discharge along with the Trustee and the Inhibition has been recalled then I can’t see why the house sale would fall through.

You might not even be asked about it for you to then have the dilemma of what to respond saying.

You won't be asked about it. It's a due diligence process undertaken as part of every conveyancing transaction.

Don't worry.
