Hello,

I entered into a protected trust deed with Invocas nearly three years ago. When I signed, they were supposed to set up my direct debit but this was never done and I was having to log into my bank account and send the payment directly. I sent them my last status report in January and spoke to a lady called kimberley about setting up the direct debit. She took my bank details, said this was fine and I left it at that.

Now that I am coming to the end of the deed, I have only just realised that Invocas never set up the direct debit and haven't recieved any money from me for over eight months! I know you are asking how I could have managed this but I genuinley thought they had sorted it out, so I stopped sending the payment manually and I didn't even realise the payment wasn't being made. (I have online banking and don't recieve paper statements) I didn't even twig that it wasn't coming out of my account. I forgot all about it and thought I was just being very good with my money [:(]

What I want to know is how could they possibly have allowed me to NOT pay for this length of time?! They have my home address, work address and phone numbers but no-one has bothered to contact me! I am so worried that they have forgotten about me (although im not surwe how this could happen) and if I call them, they will ask me to repay the outstanding amount in full.

What should I do??

Hi haleyb and welcome to the forum.

The first thing I'd like to say is that I would hope that there is not any need to be scared. If anything serious had resulted from this I'm sure that you would have heard by now.

It seems as though that have been some oversights all around that can be rectified easily enough.

My suggestion would be to contact your trust deed company to discuss the situation. I would imagine that you could get the payment routine up and running again to catch up on these payments over the coming months.
