Can anyone give an opinion or clarify please;

Let's say I personally opt for bankruptcy which is not the best solution for my husband,

Joint debts would be no longer pursued from me and the total become his as they are jointly and severally owed?

In this scenario, were he to opt for a trrust deed during or after my bankruptcy (when creditors will receive a proportion of the amount depending on payments made), will the unrecovered amount then be pursued from me again as joint borrower?

Hi Pamjo,

Any debt that is yours at the time of the bankruptcy is taken care of from your perspective. They cannot later come back to you seeking collection.

Thanks for that TDA-I was concerned that the joint liability would re-emerge if I was already through a bankruptcy.
