If you're to sign on then presumably there is no disposable income?

If there isn't, monthly contributions cannot apply.

On the surface it does look like a lump sum trust deed might work, but you'll need to run the situation directly by a source of advice you have reason to trust in order to confirm that.

" Run the situation directly by a source of advice you have reson to trust" I would attempt to always adhere to that rule but I am new to this and everything about it so it is difficult to know what to trust. When there are fees involved I know to be careful.
I guess recommendations go along way in deciding whom to trust.

I must say I am moving towards attempting the td sooner than I was expecting. I was going to take my DMP for a few months then attempt settlement with my cards and loan.. But I have done nothing but think about my situation these last two weeks and am unsure if I can be arsed with the inevitable aggro, phone calls and letters demanding payment.

I can be contacted at this address: (email address removed)

All the best folks

Marty

Marty,
I never had a problem to set up my TD.It took about six months all in.I never had to hand money over until my TD got protected, but I had to show where the money was coming from.Your IP will know if it will get protected or not.No point me saying not to worry as you will i was sick for the the full five weeks waiting and my IP Said thing would be fine.I have to say a TD was the best thing for me,I entered in to it April 2010.By the way the ยฃ11,000 was for my share of the equity in the house I never had to pay anything else.Marty shop around for an IP and make sure you get everything in writing first because if I had gone with the first IP i would be having to sell my house at this point.

Hi Marty72.

I've removed your email address from the two posts that it was on. Sadly putting your email address on a forum like this can result in you receiving stacks of emails from people that you'd rather not get emails from!

If you'd like to speak with one of the experts from this site you can do so by clicking the contact buttons in their signature on each forum post that they write. You may also wish to consider speaking to an adviser at your local CAB or a local authority money adviser.
