Hi guys,
As said recently, I'm nearing the end of my TD now (last payment in august), I have made all payments on time thus far and so dont anticipate any hold-ups from my end. I have been in touch with my trustee (RSM tenon) and they have done a ppi check (I had never had any).
On my credit report, should there be an entry from my creditors about me undertaking a trust deed? it does say in a section of the credit report that a trust deed is underway, and cites a date almost 3 years ago in there, but when you go into one of my creditors, it is still showing a "late payment" every month, and has done every month for the past 2 years. is this correct?
Is there anything else I can do to my credit report to help tidy it up etc to make rebuilding my credit file easier?
I've already had in a vanquis card last month and started using that for some fuel each month, which now shows on my credit report as paid and upto date, as does my mobile phone contract and my bank account. (i've also got a second dormant old bank account on there which ill be closing this week, it shows as upto date, but i dont use it).
I just want to get everything in order as much as i can, and dont want to miss anything out. cant wait till this is all behind me truth be told.
Thanks,
Mick
Hi mick1985.
There isn't much that you can do right now.
Once you have been discharged the debts no longer exist.
You'll then wants balances due set to zero. You'll also want default notices dated no later than the start of the trust deed. They should also be marked as being satisfied or partially satisfied.
Making responsible use of credit, as you are, should help over time.
so if the debts no longer exist does that mean the creditors should change to settled or partially settled after im discharged?
Also, do these get removed from my credit file 6 years after the start, or the end of my TD?
