I took out a protected trust deed whilst living in scotland in November 2009. When I took the trust deed out I advised my trustee that it was highly likely I would be moving back to Manchester in the very near future due to the breakdown of my relationship in my owned property in Glasgow.
I have now moved back to manchester and recently rented an unfurnished property. My ex pertner is still living in our jointly owned property in Glasgow.
Due to my rented accomadation in manchester being unfurnished, I have had to furnish the property with the basic essentials this month. I am curently filling out my forms for my trustee to carry out a review of my trust deed. And it has come to my attention that due to my heavy outlay this month furnishing my new accomodation I have a shortfall from my monthly incoming this month of ?รบ58 compared to my outgoings for this month, and this is before I even purchase any food for the month.
is it possible for my trustte to give me a 1 months payment break in these curcumstances?
Regards,
David
Hello David and welcome to the forum.
Your Trustee certainly has the option to allow this. I'd suggest that you contact him/her and set out the reasons why you would like to miss the payment this month.
Given the circumstances I'd be surprised if they didn't want to help.
The missed payment would normally be added on as an additional monthly payment at the end of the Trust Deed.
Many thanks for your quick response. I have emailed my trustee today and am waiting on there response.
