PPI Vat

Progress is being made in my Trust deed closure & all the creditor claims are in and accepted by my IP. The only thing that remains is to work out the vat on ppi claims and I have no idea what that is.

It looks like my IP used a third party to claim ppi claims. But the person from the third party isn't back from holiday until Monday. How long does vat on ppi claims take to sort out and is their a realistic possibility that I could possibly be discharged next week as in a time scale?

Thanks.

Hi sparky1,

VAT on PPI? That's a new one. I have heard of VAT on Trustee fee issues and PPI separately.

It could be that PPI has been recovered, but there remains an issue with the VAT on the 3rd parties fee. That would usually be a % of the PPI, plus VAT.

Hopefully not something that will take too long. Make sure and chase your TD advisor so that this is not something that goes unoticed.

It probably is the third parties % (fee) for the ppi claims recovered as my IP has to speak to them directly in fact I'm sure it is.

Hopefully this will only take a phone call to sort.

Thanks Rob

Just keep pestering them so that you are not forgotten about. I am sure you will then receive your discharge shortly.

Hi sparky

VAT shouldn't be an issue with PPI or the companies fees unless you were VAT registered.

I wonder if its sorting out the Paymex VAT issues they mean.
