i am 6 months into a 4 year trust deed, a few months ago a ppi claims company called me out the blue and convinced me to claim ppi against numerous loans and credit cards included in the trust deed. i told the guy on the phone at the time i was in a protected trust deed and he said best to apply anyway. i got a letter last week saying 2 of my claims have been succesfull though not stating how much. After reading some things am really worried that the creditors will keep the ppi settlement to recoup some of the debt, i wont recieve anything but the ppi company will still want 25% of the claim settlement from me and i will owe them a lot of money with no way of paying and i will be in a bigger mess than i was before the trust deed. Really worried about this and any advice/info would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum bboy001.

I wouldn't worry about this too much, but I would get in touch with your trust deed firm to update them on this situation.

They'll have an interest in any successful claim anyway and may want to address the matter with any creditor that has agreed to pay out. As part of that they may wish to deal with the claims operator as well.

Probably best to follow the advice of your Trustee at this point.

I doubt that this will become necessary bboy001.

Please let us know what you hear from your Trustee as I'm sure other visitors will have been talked into making PPI claims as well even though they've told the claims firm that they're in a trust deed.
