Hi, we finished our contributions to our trust deed in march of this year (i think) after 3 years. We were given until August this year to release circa £13,000 from the equity in our property to end the deed. We couldn't get this amount so we contacted KPMG our company dealing with us who allowed us another 2 years to pay the £13,000. I cannot complain about that. What i want to know though is can they take any PPI claim from us now? Just want to be clear on this issue. KPMG have never mentioned anything to us re PPI claims and because we are now paying the £13,000 and not contributions.....well we are very very confused.....not that we want to keep anything from them, we just want to be clear on this. please please please help. Mmany thanks [?]
Hello ambertails.
Until you are discharged from the trust deed, and possibly until your trustee is also discharged, any PPI claims cash received is likely to have to be paid over.
I suspect your trust deed firm will be in touch about working with you to submit any PPI claims that might be appropriate. You may wish to ask them about this.
Hi Amy, many thanks for your reply. Now i have PPI going back to 2001, would KPMG be looking at all the PPI or just the PPI from when the trust deed was signed. As i said i don't want to withhold any funds from them i just want to be clear on this subject. 🙂
Trust deed firms will typically engage a claims firm who will supply you with a questionnaire.
Some may ask about all possible claims, others may relate it just to accounts/banks included in the trust deed.
We'd just advise you to provide whatever information is requested.
