Previously I was disgruntled as my trustee couldn't discharge them self due to not all the PPI claims being resolved (although is a joke as I never had any and even so if i did agree to them, they practically tell you to commit fraud and doesn't matter if you agreed to the ppi)

Anyway sorry for the rant, my advice would be to chase your own ppi as only this week I got my 6th letter of trust deed to sign giving them permission to chase the ppi which equates to 3 and half years,

I chased the final one o/s ppi myself and got it in writing none due so took me two weeks which they couldn't resolve in 3.5 years.

As the companies do not have to reply to the companies/trustee chasing the claim but they do when the individual claims.

So simple terms chase your own ppi and will speed up the process.

Only wish I had done it sooner.

Hi GRRPPI.

It's strange you got a reply so soon when your trustee didn't.

There should be no difference in response speed whether you or an appointed representative of yours make contact.

HI

I think I got the response quicker as the companies have 4 weeks to respond to me from the initial complaint/query whereas the banks dont have to respond to the trustees/ppi companies.

And I was informed of that from my the trustee making the claim that the banks didn't have to respond to them.

I'm not sure I buy into the explanation that you've been given.

If you appoint someone to manage a claim for you, and they present a letter of authority that you have provided, your claim really should be handled as if you'd made it yourself.

And I assume while you have been waiting 3 1/2 years for nothing to happen the trustee has been claiming their fees? How long has your trust deed actually been running?

HI TDA

Yea the reason they gave doesn't seem plausible but the response time does back up there answer, although they have authority to request the info, doesnt mean they have to reply otherwise they would of resolved the matter, maybe a expert can confirm either way?

Tony been running 3.5 years as they chased it from the of,

Thanks

OK, will withdraw my cynical thoughts. At least they have been trying to deal with it from the beginning while other stuff happens and not just. Left it till the end like some do.
Is a pity you have had to chase it though. They should be doing it. That's why you signed the deed and that is one of the things they are taking fees to do.
