AS there is various threads on the forum regarding PPI I have had this experience of claiming recently.

May be interesting to those who banked with the Clydesdale and had PPI with them.

A few months ago I applied and thought hey ho nothing to loose.
It was around 6 weeks later I received a letter from the bank saying I was due over £15,000 for mis-sold PPI and to complete the enclosed paperwork.
So again I thought why not. 30 days later received a cheque in my name from them no quibble no mention of Trustee or Trust Deed etc

My claim was going back almost 20yrs with around six loans for various cars home improvements etc over that period. My Trustee was BDO.

I really did think I was wasting my time especially with the previous posts on the forum regarding PPI and did fully expect the bank to contact my discharged Trustee (2012)
Just one of those things niggling at me; as the PPI costs per month didn't help my money situation and did contribute together with me being stupid with money turning to a Trust Deed.

Hope my post helps some.

Completed 3yr TD Sept '12 discharged Sept '12. Trustee discharged Jan '13
Building up savings.

Hi twizzle.

Wow! That's certainly a sizeable cheque to receive. You must be absolutely delighted?

Thanks for sharing this with others. Until everything settles down with the legal position I think we're going to continue reading about varying experiences here.

Hi twizzle,

That’s fantastic and a lot of money to receive back in PPI. I’m sure this will come in extremely useful.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
