I've just made my final payment to my PTD on 1/11/11 and 2 days later I received a letter from the company saying they were going to investigate a possible ppi claim,I too was under the impression that once I had made my final payment that all creditors would then b unable too try and get any more money, having read various posts on this matter I'm now very concerned as to how long it appears to be going to take for them too actually close my PTD,it looks like some kind of stalling tactic

Welcome to the trust deed forum Flydevil.

Congratulations on having completed your payments.

I'm sorry to hear of your understandable concern.

If your trust deed was signed after April 1st 2008 our experts have indicated that they do not believe a PPI claim need necessarily be cause to hold up your discharge. If this applies to you it might be worth making this argument to your trust deed provider.

Hi. Having been discharged from my TD in Aug this year just though I would let you know there is some good news. Just received a cheque from tesco credit card for missold PPI. They were one of our creditors and stated in their letter that because I am discharged it is my responsibility to inform my TD company. This I did but they told me as I am discharged that they have no further claims on any monies. Also a call on Friday confirmed another PPI CLAIM upheld from TSB. No figures yet but again they were one of our creditors. Both claims were started before my discharge back in June.

That's really good news for you Quiggles. I hope you have a plan for the payout?!

I'm not sure everyone will have the same fortune with PPI claims after discharge from a trust deed, but it's good to hear of your success.
