I paid my last payment on my Trust Deed in December 2011. I have been waiting for a discharge since then and when I have chased, been told to wait for another 12 weeks while they finalize.
Today I have a letter saying they want to know if I was sold PPI wrongly and to respond.
Why is this delaying my discharge. Surly they can discharge me and continue the payments to creditors in background?
Also I am pretty sure everything was explained to me correctly when I agreed to PPI so not sure if they have a claim?

If you signed your trust deed after April 2008, and have completed your commitments to it, they can deal with your PPI even if they discharge you now. You may wish to point this out to them.
There are many reasons why PPI may have been mis-sold, it doesn't just come down to the way it was explained. However if a claim is to be made in your name you are entitled to know on what basis it is being made, so you may well wish to ask.
