OK folks get the ladders out as I am sure some will want to get on their high horse and some will want to put up some bunting.
When I signed up to my Trust Deed in 2010 I gave my Trustee every bit of info on my then current debt and historic debt, I held back nothing as I wanted to ensure everything went through without a hitch. 3 years later after discharge (mine and Trustees) I decided to have a good long look and find out where I had went wrong previously, I still had a lot of old paperwork and tried to decipher how I ended up in so much debt. It was an accumulation over 12 years and for the first couple I was spending more than I could afford but the later (and I reckon at least 8 years) it was more refinance, refinance, refinance and a LOT in PPI. For the cost of half a dozen stamps I decided to try and claim some of this back (I had signed over the right to pursue to my Trustee, genuinely nothing hidden from them) Are you ready, so far I have claimed back over ยฃ6k and in some cases more than the company received as their share of my TD settlement. I am not proud of my debt but I am now aware that I got there with the help of some very clever sales people selling me loans I could not afford so in a way my conscience is clear.

Hi,

Oh my, Very Good!! [:)]
As long as your Trustee has defo discharged themself?

I was discharged in April 2012 but my Trustee is still in office as he is looking into mis-sold PPI.

Nobody is proud of their debt or the consequences we dealt with to get rid of it BUT you did your time and paid back what was agreed!!

Well Done You!! [:D]
Save it wisely!!!! [:)]

P.S. If my Trustee had discharged himself without looking at it i would have done exactly the same as you!!! [;)]

Hi jockdock.

I'm sure a lot of people will read this with interest.

Different lenders seem to react in different ways post trust deed discharge when a PPI claim arrives.
