Hi
I was discharged recently and ppi has been claimed by my trust deed provider. I have now received a letter from one of the creditors to say they missed one of my accounts and have now sent a cheque to me. Am I entitled to the cheque as I have been discharged or do I send it on to my trust deed provider. I have no qualms about sending it on but am just wondering where I stand legally.
thanks

Hi delboy2

It all depends if your Trustee has been discharged from office.

If you check the AIB website it should show the date that your Trustee discharged themselves. If there is no date, your creditors are entitled to the cheque (sorry [:(])

Hope you have been and you can enjoy your windfall!

Welcome to the forum delboy2.

The simplest answer would be to check with your former trustee.

If they remain "in office" dealing with this (meaning that they're not discharged even though you are) I expect that they'll require the money for the benefit of your creditors.
