Hi
I have read on here in the past about firms who are pursuing or investigating PPI claims on behalf of their clients for the purpose of recouping money for benefit of the creditors. I have a sneaky suspicion that the company I am with may be one of the companies who do this and I what i am wondering is whether or not my trust deed company will inform me of this action being undertaken, will I even know about it or will a letter just come through from the solicitor or person dealing with the claim? Would I be entitled to contact my IP office and ask if this is something that is being done?
Hello Newbie65,
You'll have to be informed. The claims operator will need your signature in order to be able to act for you.
Do you feel that any PPI was mis-sold to you? If the answer is no please don't be bullied into anything.
If your trust deed company is one of the very small number that are encouraging/expecting these types of claims to be made it would be best to get on with it as soon as possible. The PPI claim could otherwise end up delaying the closure of your trust deed when your payments have been completed.
For that reason I'd get in touch with your trust deed company now to find out if this is going to happen... and to get them to hurry up if it is!
Hi TDA. I have acted on this morning and contacted my case-worker. Hopefully will hear something soon from them regarding this. Many thanks for your advice once again.
