Hi just looking for some guidance. I finished my TD 15/10/16 and then the PPI check began so I had to wait for a form 5. I get a letter every now and then saying it is still with the ombudsman which could take up to 3 months. can this go an for another year plus before I get my form 5. And as I have no form 5 does this mean I am still tied to the td

Hi Lorraine,
Your trustee can usually discharge you (Form 5) even though the PPI work hasn't been completed.
It's their own discharge (Form 6) that has to wait for the PPI work to be completed.
If you type "register of insolvencies" into Google you should be able to do a search to see if you have been discharged. Otherwise you could call the firm to check the status.
Without you having been discharged you would still be in the trust deed.
