Do you think the fact his appeal has been granted gives him a good chance of success ?
I can't see how this could have reached the Supreme Court unless he had a very good case to make, perhaps in an area of the law which isn't considered to be 'settled' and which is important to be clarified.
I also can't see that anyone would invest the level of resources required to do this unless they believed they were likely to win and had been advised as such by senior legal advisers.
That doesn't mean he'll win though. The law, the arguments presented by both sides, and the interpretation of very senior judges will decide that.
Without any financial interest that just feels really interesting. For those of you with a financial stake I understand you'll view it differently.
Could they have refused his appeal like the Inner Court did ?
Have visited their website and yes is very interesting. I hope this will end the anguish one way or another.
With those interested in Mr Mond, he also has withheld my PPI monies.... we are all awaiting the result of the case McGuiness Assoc v D Mond, I have had an e mail today confirming he has requested his appeal be heard in Edinburgh when the UK Supreme Court sits there in June, as off today this has not yet been granted or denied, I will keep the forum informed if he is granted his request with the date or if he is denied.
Has he been allowed to appeal or do we not know that yet ?
I would imagine he is being allowed to appeal but the location is yet to be decided. The Edinburgh cases have already been decided as far as I know though
The UKโS highest court will hold public hearings in Scotland this summer โ the first time it will sit outside London.
The supreme court is due to hear several appeals in Edinburgh over four days in June. The list of cases to be heard is still being finalised, but at least five of the Supreme Court justices are expected to travel north for the sessions.
That was on website
It's on their news pages
Any news as to what is happening with Mon

Dear Mrs Leith
Thank you for your emails of 11 and 13 April 2017.
I confirm that the Supreme Court has granted permission in the case of Dooneen v Mond to progress to an appeal hearing before the Supreme Court. The solicitor acting for Mond is David Flint of Balfour Manson. He confirmed that permission to appeal had been granted. I have asked him to confirm to me the likely timescales for the progress of his appeal and as soon as I have his answer I shall let you know.
As far as the substance of your email of 11 April is concerned, as leave to appeal has now been granted to the Supreme Court and therefore determination of the case in Dooneen v Mond is central to the determination of this case between my client and yourself at Perth Sheriff Court.
I will update you when I hear further from Mr Flint at Balfour Manson.
This is the latest e mail from my ex trustees solicitor.
I've just had my ppi company on the phone telling me that mr mond case has been refused from Supreme Court so don't know who's right
No problem I just copied and pasted it
