Hi littlemo.

It really starts with checking whether the contents of your credit report are accurate and updated.

I'd leave it a month or two to give your creditors a chance to update your record without your intervention.

Hi littlemo did the closures team instruct you to cancel your SO or did u just do it? I've made payment 36 and asked but so far I've just been told my case is with closure team but I've no instructions. I don't want to cancel it and blow things at this late stage but if I don't then SO will come off next week. I m too wary to spend any of this but I've earmarked the money for some essentials I've been putting off and ready to transfer the rest to savings. Don't know what to do!

I cancelled after my last payment but emailed Creditfix to tell them. They confirmed my case was with closure team.

Hi downandout and worriedme...here is what we've experienced with creditfix closure team...first off they were really helpful and advised me to cancel my direct debit once my 36th payment was made..They also honoured PJG no further valuations etc..no complaints at all.:)

Thanks guys, I won't have any equity issues as I don't own anything or have a mortgage. I will email cf to confirm I've cancelled my so and get this done. I guess if they are not happy with that I can always set it up again,. I will hold onto the money for a while longer just in case.

Hi littlemo,

Well done on successfully completing your Trust Deed and receiving your Form 5!

I would give CF a quick call downandout and ask them if you can cancel your standing order mandate or not. If you are 100% confident that you have made all of the agreed payments then I can't see any reason why you couldn't cancel the standing order. It's not going to jeopardise or cause any problems at this late stage. If you do make an overpayment it could take a couple of weeks for the money to be refunded. Worst case scenario, if you are 1 payment short and you keep the money you can pay this to creditfix.
