My friend has PCP on his car at the moment but since taking out the agreement he is now in a trust deed. When he goes back to change his car this September will the PCP be accepted for his next car or will it be declined?

Hi Lorryjo1983.

I'd imagine this will be a new credit agreement when the time comes, so credit checking and an affordability assessment are both highly likely.

Hi Lorryjo1983,

As TDA has said this would be a new credit agreement subject to credit checks and affordability. As your friend is in a Trust Deed they will need to make the finance company aware of this and may have to pay higher interest. They will also need to obtain their Trustees approval for this before they went ahead.

Sarah is no longer posting in the Trust-Deed.co.uk forum.
