What happens if you do overtime or extra hours and cannot pay half of it into the TS because you have had to use the money for something, like house repairs etc? Is it added to the end of the TD to extend it?

Hi melissa.

That's a possibility, though your trustee may want the money sooner if it was clear to all involved that half of it should have been paid over when it was received.

If you're worried about it the best thing will probably be to call your contact at your trust deed firm.

Thanks. I was just wondering. When you say sooner, would that mean at some point before the end of the TD? What would happen usually if I did not have to money to pay it in right away. I am just thinking about the future and any extra hours I might get.

It really depends on how much money is involved and the view that your trustee takes melissa.

In this recent thread our experts explained that a modest amount of irregular overtime may not be an issue at all:

I'd suggest discussing this with your trustee firm directly as it will hopefully not be a major issue to resolve.
