one of bonus

quick question, have just be informed i am geting a bonus for extra work down from work, about £450, will it all have to go into my trust, even if i am realy needing a new white good?[:)]

I phoned mine when I got a bonus and they allowed me to keep half of it. Best to let them know. If you don't and they find out, they'll ask for it later.

Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!

Welcome to the trust deed forum getingthere.

As Gillian has said, it's not uncommon for a proportion of extra earned income to be kept, with the remainder paid into the trust deed.

Often this is arranged in advance though (before the trust deed is signed) so that everyone knows where they stand.

If there is no agreement on that now, your Trustee will have some discretion.

I do hope that you're allowed to keep part of the payment.

it was for going about and beyond what was normally expected of me. We have to be nominated from them. i have phone them and they will come back to me next week, lets hope so........

The way I looked at it, as I paid half my bonus to my trustee, was that next year I'll get to spend double what I did this year. Even if I don't perform that much better at work!!!
