Hi Claire, well done on reaching this point in your Trust Deed journey!

I’d touch base with your Trustee to confirm that you have 1 final payment to be paid and to ask them their process for discharging you from the Trust Deed i.e. how long it will take for you to receive your Form 5 certificate of discharge.

The form 5 certificate of discharge is your confirmation that you have successfully completed the Trust Deed and are now debt free. You want to get your hands on this asap, within about 4-6 weeks of your final payment.

How have you found the whole TD experience?

That's great news Claraaaron1383.

I don't think that there's much for you to do. It might be worth having bank statements and payslips ready in case the trustee wants to do a final review before proceeding to closure.

Congratulations Claire - most of the work is completed in the background and there shouldn't be anything you will need to do.

Keep your form 5 certificate safe as this confirmed you have been discharged from the trust deed in the event you need to prove it as a later date in the event you are obtaining further creditor or buying a property/car.
