Hi

My trust deed is due to come off my credit report in December and I am counting down the days. [:)]

However I just got married and I'm in the process of changing my name over. I have completed my bank accounts but was just wondering how this impacts my credit rating as that's in my maiden name. So, for example, I if were to apply for a credit card then I have no credit history in my married name.

I think I may be over complicating things but any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hi Almostthere,

Iโ€™ll start by saying Iโ€™m not a credit rating expert...

I would think that your credit information would link to any previous names such as your maiden name. When you apply for a credit card I suspect you will probably be asked about previous names and this will pull it all together.

Are you thinking about applying for credit?
