I'm currently going through a separation. This will mean that I have to move away from Scotland to live with my family. I will still be paying half of my mortgage in Scotland. I'm also part way through my trust deed. My circumstances will obviously change but need to see through my trust deed. Any help?

Welcome to the forum mrdlloydcollins.

You'll need to work with your trustee to reassess what your income and expenditure will be after the move. This will determine whether you're able to maintain a contribution, how much that contribution will be, and therefore whether the trust deed remains a viable and fair option for you and your creditors.

I do hope that it all works out and let us know if further questions arise.

Thank you. So if the expenditure etc does massively change I can still continue with my trust deed even in England? I'm sure I'm nearly half way through the 3yrs.

Hi mrdlloydcollins.

There's no issue with relocating to England.

The issue is just whether your changed circumstances will enable the trust deed to continue (and on what terms).
