Hi

This is a hypathetical question, but are there any restrictions to moving abroad whilst on a PTD?

Would income and expenditure still be assessed the same (i.e. if you got paid more or less would your contribution change)?

(I imagine the answer is only if you become better off your contributions will increase, if your are the same or worse of your contributions will stay the same)

Does anyone know?

Thanks

Poorboy

Hi Poorboy.

You can move abroad, a trust deed places no restriction on that kind of thing.

As with any other change an assessment would be made of your new circumstances and your payment adjusted according to affordability.

If your payment had to be reduced I'd imagine there would be a fair chance of an extension given that the decision was in your control.
