Hi,Need abit of help here, i recently took out a trust deed this year(April) & was told not to pay any of my creditors, which included my council tax & mortgage payments, as the shortfall of the sale after reposs would be included in the trust deed.My situation now is my flat has not been repossessed & council tax payments are now in the hands of the sheriff officers, I was under the impression from the start that my trust deed would be dealing with my mortgage company and finalising the repossession as i don`t stay in the property, can anyone advise?

Hi wrightrenfrew and welcome to the trust deed forum.

I think you need to speak with your trustee on Monday to find out what they are, and what they are not, doing.

Council tax debts that existed when you signed your trust deed would typically be included, unless there had already been legal action perhaps? You need to pay your current council tax payments after the trust deed is signed.

In terms of a repossession, your mortgage lender can do that whenever they choose.
