Hi,

I am currently in a Trust Deed and have moved back in with my parents. They don't know about my TD but they are moving house and have been to see about a mortgage who are now doing a credit check etc. Will this show that someone living in the home has a TD ?

Hi Jroger.

Their credit files are individual and unconnected to anyone who happens to live in the same property.

The only exception might be if you had a joint financial arrangement of some sort with either of them. This wouldn't affect their credit rating, but would create a 'link' to you which some creditors might take an interest in.

Thank you TDA.

That's great I don't have anything joint with them. Was worried it flagged up.

Worth getting some reassurance I'm sure Jroger.

Sadly there's lots of myths out there about property-related credit blacklists. It probably stops some people from taking action regarding their debts when they really need to.
