Hi silverfish.

Do you mean after an individual has been discharged?

Or more generally about people still in protected trust deeds?

Hi I suppose I mean in both circs, after and during, or can I be added to my wife's mortgage whilst still in PTD status (she never did include me in it). But I want to be added to her mortgage as I pay into the house, always have. Thanks.

Hi silverfish.

Being on a mortgage doesn't make you the owner of a home. The two things are slightly different.

Also, becoming a joint owner of your home might lead to complications that you'd prefer to avoid prior to the discharge from your protected trust deed.

In terms of after your trust deed, and your original question, it's not really possible to answer your question as there are too many factors involved (most of which have nothing to do with trust deeds).

If you take steps to improve your credit rating, and are prepared to allow a little time to pass, I'd expect your chances to be pretty good in the future though.
