I've recently started receiving letters from this debt collection agency, saying they have taken over the debt of one of my RBS credit cards wanting me to arrange payment. I phoned them and explained that the debt was included in my trust deed. They asked for my Trust Deed reference number which I gave them. Today I received a letter from them asking for a copy of my Trust Deed. I phoned them again and they said they have been unable to trace my Trust Deed. Surely RBS should have told them I was in a Trust Deed? I have forwarded the letter to KPMG. Should I photocopy the Edinburgh Gazette entry and send that to Moorcroft? I really dont want to have to photcopy Trust Deed.

Surely this is nothing to do with you just give them the trustees number after all that's what they are being paid for.

Hi fcwalker.

I think NewStart is right. You're paying your trustee to deal with things like this.

I wouldn't worry about it for another second though. You're protected. If a creditor wants to make you jump through hoops and will not simply check this on a publicly available register then let them waste their time and money.

Got another letter from them yesterday suggesting I pay them ยฃ120 a month! At the bottom of letter it said in bold "Do not ignore this letter" So I phoned them again - they said they cannot trace my trust deed. I gave them KPMG's number and told them not to contact me again

Hi FcWalker. You have 2 options, number 1, ignore them there is nothing they can do. Number 2, phone & tell them that you are putting in an official complaint against them for harrasement. They won't be long and stopping the calls & letters then. Your trustee deals with this, that is what their fees are for. Good luck

Yet another letter received today![:(!] Have written a letter spelling it out to them how to find details of my Trust Deed online and contact details of my trustee. I have stated that if they continue to pursue me, that I will make an official complaint of harrassment

Hi fcwalker, I would make an official complaint. As it is not a companies god given right to hound you. We can all understand that we have made a mess of our finances & have had to sign up for trust deeds but we don't do this lightly. I had a similar incident with Santander to try to change my credit file after I was discharged. I argued with them for months & eventually god the financial ombudsman involved, that sorted the situation. These companies need to stop, it fills me with rage that they prey on the ones who need help the most. Sorry about my rant . Good luck & stand up to them
