My husband and I have been in Trust Deeds for almost 2 years now and it is hard at times living with such limited budget. Anyway I need some repairs carried out to my house. I don't have any cover in place and think the cost will be about ยฃ250. I wondered whether it is likely that my Trustee would agree to me missing a payment to pay for this? Any advice would be helpful.

Hi Blossom36,

Depending on what the repairs are and how important they are then your Trustee may be prepared to allow a payment break to assist with the costs. What repair work do you need carried out?

It's something which you will need to speak with your Trustee about. I would get in touch with your relationship manager and run this past them.

If your Trustee decides not to allow a payment break for this, if you own your own home and have a mortgage sometimes a mortgage company will allow a payment holiday from the mortgage payments.

If you do speak with your Trustee let us know how you get on.
