I have tried searching the forum for an answer but can't seem to find one.
I have a mobile contract which is due for renewal/upgrade at the end of this month. I remember when I first took it out they did a credit check on me.
My question is this - if I get a new phone/upgrade will they do another credit check on me? Or do I just stick with my fruity phone?
Thanks [:)]
Hi blondie10.
If you're staying with your existing mobile phone supplier I think it's unlikely that they'll conduct a credit check.
I cannot remember a forum thread here was mobile phone renewal was an issue in connection to a trust deed, though I'm sure if any of our visitors have had a problem with this they'll point it out.
Hello!
I have a contract mobile and I stayed with the same supplier and just upgraded with no problems at all.
The issue for me came when I spoke to my TD advisor who wanted me to make sure I got the best deal I could. Luckily for me I am a long term customer and entitled to several discounts so I got a good phone on a cheap contract!
If you were to go with another supplier it may be an issue though.
Hi there,
I just upgraded my contract two weeks ago via the carphone warehouse with no problems at all. All they needed to do was verify my address and that was that.
I am sure you will be fine.
Thank you all for your replies - I will keep an eye on it and see what deals they will offer me.
