Hi, I wondered if anyone had any knowledge of this, my trust deed is fairly recent. When I applied I was paying a hefty £130 a month mobile contract. Now inevitably I can’t affort it, had unexpected bills and I find the only way is to breach my contract (mobile) and not pay. Is this in breach of my Trust Deed T & Cs? I’ll call them on Monday and ask but thought I’d put the feelers out.
Thank you #128522;

Welcome to the forum Lucy376.

You’re not breaching any rules in respect of your trust deed.

Obviously however, you’re building up a new debt that the trust deed will not cover. Hopefully you can come to an agreement with the mobile provider to bring this under control.

Lucy, if the mobile phone contract was entered into prior to the trustee then you could default the contact and enter the full balance of payment under the contract as part of the trust deed debt.

This would only cover the contract payment and not usage since entering the trust deed.

Hope this makes sense.
