Hi royalalfa10.

It would be pretty common for the trust deed to be extended to enable the amount that was originally promised to be paid over.

The reasons for the missed payments might be relevant to the outcome though, so best to check on the precise status with your trust deed firm.

Hi again royalalfa10.

A trust deed payment is calculated according to how much you can afford, which can and does change during the course of its term.

The payment is calculated in a fairly simple way (actual income minus reasonable expenditure) so an increase in your income could well result in a trust deed payment increase. This will get flagged up if you inform your trustee of a change or at the regular reviews which will take place.

Therefore I think it's quite likely that if you missed a payment at the new higher level that your trustee will want to see that caught up prior to your discharge.

The reason for the missed payments might be important though, so please check all of this with your trustee who is the only person that can tell you what the situation actually is (or will be).
