Hi there,

Is there a minimum amount you need to have available after essential outgoings to enter a trust deed?

Hello syb1010,

There is no exactly defined amount.

Different Trust Deed firms take a different view on the minimum contribution they will handle cases on in order to facilitate a reasonable payment to creditors, an appropriate arrangement for the debtor, and to settle their own fees from the contributions.

It can be an important consideration in choosing a firm.

Is this something that you're wondering about for yourself? If so is there an amount you feel you could afford each month?

Based on that information I don't think a trust deed would be the appropriate solution for you at this time.

Are you a homeowner? Do you have any other significant assets?
