Hi All,
Hope you can shed some light on this situation. I had an alert on my credit file and when I checked it it showed a new account? This account was Max Recovery and it looks as if this is one of my credit cards that has sold to this agency. How can this be if I am in a trust deed? Can Max Recovery now come after me for payment?
Thanks
Sam.

Hi sam21.

Nothing to worry about. Max Reovery are a major and well-known debt purchaser.

They often buy debt that is already included in a trust deed.

They are bound by your trust deed in the same way that the selling creditor was originally.

They probably know about the trust deed and your Trustee already sam21.

No harm in forwarding any letters to your Trustee though just to be sure that everyone is communicating properly.
