Hey folks I have stupidly lost my discharged papers and I was wondering if anyone knows if I will actually ever need these? I entered my trust deed around 7 years ago so it has been finished for a while now and is off my credit file.

I am hoping to apply for a mortgage in a year or so and wondered if the lender will ask to see my discharge papers

Hi whitley87.

I'm not sure that many mortgage lenders would want to see this.

If you're concerned then you could ask your former trustee (if they're still trading) to supply a copy.

The Accountant in Bankruptcy might also be able to supply some form of written confirmation of your discharge.
