Hi,
After speaking with Andrew this morning I realise I was almost stung for ?ú350 to go bankrupt.
Thanks to Andrews help I now know I can do this for ?ú100, so thank you very much 🙂
I have a couple of questions and having a look online seems to give conflicting information...
Could you give me information on the following?
I moved out of my parents address 1year ago, some of my debts are still 'registered' to my parents house. Will this affect their credit if I do go bankrupt because I have only been in my house for a year?
Also how long will the information remain on my credit file?
Thank you lots 🙂
L
Hello Laura,
I'm glad to hear that Andrew in the site support team was able to save you some money!
There are companies charging a fee to assist with the LILA bankruptcy process, and it's legitimate for them to do so, but we really don't think there is much need to pay this type of fee.
There should be no impact upon the credit records of your parents. Even is a "link" to you existed on their credit file this could be dealt with using a "notice of disassociation" as your financial affairs are separate. If this is neceesary let us know and we'll let you have more detail about how to do it.
On a practical level you could contact these creditors now, provide them with your updated address, and hopefully the whole potential issue is avoided anyhow.
Anything that goes on your credit record stays there for six years.
Thank you thats fab 🙂
Dont want them to find out, would imagine extream dissapointment, not worth the tears!
Thanks again 🙂
