Hello, please let this be a lesson to everyone, short history: contacted payplan 2009, passed on to Grant Thornton, who advised me that trust deed was best option, crazy amount of debt most of it charges interest, equity in home £ 70,000, contributions £100 per month, couldn't believe what a relief this was, would release my share of equity at end, simple!!! Oh no, husband left me, I advised grant Thornton, who straight away said they could deal with sale of house, (not the best thing to hear when life not good anyway)communication with trustee not great and husband also in contact with them and alarm bells ringing, I am not going to be able to release my share of equity, tried to come to arrangement with trustee, not interested or willing to take into account my personal circumstances, husband now not paying mortgage as he believes that trustee just after equity and god was he right, court now granted a date of 2 weeks for me and my sons to get out, please everyone be careful, all I have are my sons and hope no one has to go through this.
Hi Gordon1,
I'm really sorry to read about the very unfortunate change in your circumstances and to hear that an eviction date has been set to vacate your property for this to be sold. I can't begin to imagine how this must feel.
Do you have somewhere lined up to move to? If not, have you considered speaking with your local authority regarding alternative accommodation? You may wish to speak with them to advise them that you are being evicted and you will be homeless with two sons. They may be able to help with accommodation. How old are your children? Your local authority will take this into consideration and it can mean you are given more of a priority status depending on their age.
Was there any agreement at the start of your Trust Deed on how the equity would be dealt with and paid over by you in the Trust Deed?

Hi Gordon1.
Like David, I'm really sorry to hear that everything has worked out as it has. It must be really difficult for you and your family.
What was the original plan to deal with the equity in the house before your personal situation changed?
