Hi Everybody,

Havent been on the forum for a while.
Received my form 5 in mid April and am just starting to look into
tidying up what I can on my credit file. Applied and was accepted for a Vanquis card, small limit but wasn't looking for 25k!!
Anyway on looking at my file on AIB I note that my IP is still not listed as discharged. Could this delay my credit file form highlighting defaults as being satisfied or partially satisfied.

Appreciate IP's may hang around for various reasons but does this slow credit file updates?

Cheers

Ralph

Hello Ralph.

Once you have been formally discharged from the trust deed you're entitled to expect that your creditors update your credit file.

They may need some encouragement from you to do this.

Thanks TDA
I have no idea whether my creditors have received their dividends, am I privy to this information? If they havent would this have any bearing on their attitude towards updating my file?
I know this isn't your area of expertise but there is some really useful links in this site on credit history etc, thanks

Hello Ralph.

It may change their attitude, but it doesn't change their obligations.

You've been discharged and your credit file should reflect that.
