Afternoon.

I am looking for advice regarding my TD (just finalized first year)

I am considering to leave the UK and come back to my homecountry, to work and rent a house. I am anxious thoug, because I am not sure how that would affect my TD. Is that even possible for me to leave the conutry before my TD is finalized ? Do I have a chance for a morgage in other EU countries while still on TD ?

Welcome to the forum menerwen.

There's nothing stopping you from moving away, and your trust deed can continue.

As your circumstances will have changed your trustee will want to work through your income and expenditure again to assess a fair level of payment.

I don't know the answer, but I doubt mortgage lenders will do cross-border credit checks. Your trustee might take an interest if you acquire new assets though.

Hi menerwen,

There is noting to stop you relocating to a different country whilst you are in your Trust Deed. It's important to speak with your Trustee about this to ensure that they have up to date contact information for you.

I can't be of much help regarding your chances of securing a mortgage in another country outside the UK unfortunately. Maybe a good idea to speak with a financial advisor based in the country you are looking to relocate to.
