I had/have a trust deed with Knightsbridge I wish I had never heard of them I managed to maintain my payments till last year when I lost my job,(almost 4 yrs later )I ended up selling my house at a loss as couldn't afford to pay the mortgage,I sold my house at a very large loss,I had to give KB my share of the house so was left with nothing[:(] they assured me that this would be the end of my TD a few months down the road I got a phone call from there finance dept asking for a payment I was really upset as thought I could move on with my life, spoke to a gentleman who assured me he would start winding this all down and contract debtors to settle there payments, over the past few weeks I have had phone calls on a daily basis from the finance dept.eventually spoke to someone today again asking for payment ,i spoke to the same gentleman again re payments told him I was not working and told him he had told me that the TD was coming to an end he also assured me that he would ask his colleagues to email me and stop the phone calls but obviously this did not happen again he has promised to stop the calls have to send him proof that i am not working therefore cannot afford payments to which I thought were done .I am on antidepressants due to depression and anxiety.Dont know where to turn to now .Please help if you can.

Hi darrensmum1 and welcome to the forum.

I'm very sorry to hear that you've been unwell. Lots of people reading your post on here will want to offer you their support while this all gets sorted out.

Sending in evidence that you're not working is very important. A trust deed provider cannot seek a contribution from you if you are living on benefit income only. I think this will go a long way towards helping to resolve your concerns.

To the extent that you're comfortable doing so (and if you haven't already) I'd also recommend letting them know about the medical treatment you're receiving for depression and anxiety. Financial services firms have become much better in recent years at supporting customers when they know that they're experiencing such a hard time.

Please let us know how you get on or if you have any further questions.

Hi darrensmum1 and welcome to the forum.

Like TDA Iโ€™m sorry to hear that you have been unwell and are experiencing some issues with your Trust Deed.

If you are able to, try and send the evidence that you are not in a position to make any payments by email or by recorded delivery. That way you can ensure that they receive the paperwork. If you have a smart phone or tablet you could take pictures of the evidence and then send that in an email. You could send it directly to the person you have been speaking with and also their generic email address to ensure that itโ€™s picked up and dealt with.

As TDA has advised if you are not employed and your only income is state benefits then they cannot take a payment from you.

If after you have sent them the required information and you are still experiencing issues that is causing your health to suffer then you could consider a formal complaint to your Trustee.

Try not to let this get you too down. You will find plenty of support, help and advice on the forum to help you.
