Looking for advice as I am getting the runaround from Knightsbridge. My husband is still waiting on his letter 6. We entered our Trust deed end January 2012, completed payments end March 2015. He recieved His letter 5 in November 2015, but he is still waiting on his letter 6. I got mine last month but Knightsbridge claim it's only one company, Halifax that is not responding, but the Halifax account was in joint names so I don't understand what the delay is when I have mine. Can you advise?

Hi Mandy75.

If your husband has completed his obligations then it seems fair enough that his trustee gets on and discharges him. This happened with the issue of his Form 5.

Trustee discharge is different. It happens when they've finished their work. If it hasn't been finished (perhaps because a creditor isn't responding as they'd like) then they will not seek their own discharge.

There's almost always no reason at all why this situation should disadvantage your husband though.

One particular company is refusing to alter their credit record until they receive payment and Knightsbridge said all payments go out once all correspondence has been recieved from all clients. Just feels like there is no end to this!

That company is in the wrong Mandy75.

The following article may help you to get this sorted out without having to worry any more about Form 6.
