I started my trust deed with a company called Kelsom after about 2 years it was moved to a company called Knightsbridge after my final payment was paid ,all 36 payments were paid on time .they sent me a letter saying that the trust deed would finish roundabout sept 2115 my trust deed started in March 2112 well nothing happened in September i phoned them in January 2016 and they said that there was a backlog nothing else happened till May this year when they sent another letter out saying they were sending out letters to creditors saying that they are going to wind the trust deed up its now September 2116 and I have still not heard anything, is this normal I just want to get my life back on track and I can't do anything with this trust deed still going on after all these years l am now at the stage of was it worth it taking it out in the first place as I thought it was only to run for three years and it is now over four and a half years a nightmare I say any thoughts on this

Hi Maddog.
It's hard to say what's normal. Different firms go about the process of discharging their customers in different ways.
However it would probably be true to say that, if there are no complicating factors involved in your case, most firms would have discharged you quite a lot sooner than this.
Got on to Knightbridge yesterday and they told me all creditors had been paid and they are finalising my discharge and it should be done and dusted in two to three weeks l asked him if he could asked one of his superiors to push it along and he said he would I will keep you informed as of when I finally get discharged thanks
