Hi all,

This forum has been a wealth of information for me. That said I have been wondering.. ๐Ÿ™‚
I signed my trust deed in Sept 2010 and due to various issues and delayed payments it is due to be finished Aug 2015.
I know that the debt gets written off your file 6 years after trust deed.
My question is this.. Does it still get wiped off your files 6 years after signing even if it has taken you 5 years to pay off the agreed amount?
So when I finish paying in Aug 2015 it should then be Sept 2016 that it should come off my credit files?
I'm just thinking ahead..
Thanks All

Good morning Amerififer.

That's correct - an entry on your credit file remains there for a period of six years then goes away.

So... it's the date that your trust deed began which is more relevant than when it finished.
