I have 8 months remaining on a personal TD which didn't involve my wife.

Back in March 2012, we received a joint PPI refund, approx 18 months before I entered into my personal TD.

We just received a letter from the bank stating that they miscalculated the offer and so they are sending a cheque for a (very) small 4 figure sum.

I'm more than happy to surrender any refund that I was offered - kinda have to ๐Ÿ™‚ - but isn't my wife entitled to keep her half?

I'm also going to my email my trustee anyway, but wondered if people here knew?

Regards]
Gus

Hello AGMcCabe.

Having seen this scenario arise here a couple of times before, I'd be a little surprised if your trustee didn't consent to half going to your wife.

Hi,

50% of the PPI payment should go to your wife.

If your Trustee receives the full amount they should send your wife her share.

How have you found the Trust Deed process so far?
